BUTTON BUCK PULLING TEAM
Thank you for visiting our site. My name is Chris Weidinger and I'd like to tell you about myself and Button Buck.
I'm 18 years old and live with my parents in the rural area of North Central Ohio. I just graduated from high school where I was very active in Vo-Ag, FFA, football, track, and wrestling. I help my parents on the family farm and this fall I plan on furthering my education in Business Marketing at the University of Findlay and I just may do a little wrestling for them also. My hobby, you may have guessed by now is Tractor Pulling.
My dad had been pulling tractors for 35 years, and mom letting him get away with it, was bound to rub off on me sooner or later. Well it was sooner, I began pulling at 8 years of age, starting with stock garden tractors , then Prostock and Modified garden tractors were soon to follow. When tractor companies started building compact tractors-- we decided to build a compact diesel tractor and the Button Buck was born.
The Button Buck was quite a challenge for us, since we wanted it to retain its stock appearance, but have the power and vigor of its big Super Stock cousins. It could not have been possible without the help of long time pulling friends, Ralph Hedrick, Terry and Travis Albright, HBE machine, Riverside Engines, Columbus Diesel and Martin Diesel. The engine is a 3 cylinder 60 cubic inch twin turbo charged Yanmar Diesel with all the goodies the big "Supers" have.
Along with the Button Buck several other compact diesel tractors have been built in the past two years, with more being built we are in the process of organizing a National Class.
